(Note: Painterly & Rubenesque are both at least 1 year old and the non “longwear” formula however the ingredient list has remained the same, so take that information as you please.)

(L-W Painterly, Rubenesque, Let’s Skate!) ^ Notice how pretty and sparkly Let’s Skate is in the swatch!?! (The glitter is easier to see in the swatches below.) This one is quite opaque, it’s not as smooth as the others (due to all the glitter), but will still cover any discolouration quite nicely. It is an almost white base jammed packed with loads, and I mean LOADS of beautiful multicoloured glitter. The most recent paint pot I’ve purchased is called Let’s Skate a “pale pink with pearl” as MAC describes. It’s the smoothest paint pot I own, and always looks great no matter now rushed the application was. It’s absolutely gorgeous on it’s own, or paired up with a sparkly gold patted on top. Rubenesque is described as “golden peach with gold pearl”. Not too long after getting Painterly, I was gifted Rubenesque from my mom.

I apply with a clean finger, to warm the product up a bit, and it blends out flawlessly. Instead of using it for colour, I use it as a primer of sorts before applying any eyeshadow to make them last all day without creasing. It’s great at making your veins/discolouration around the eye area disappear.

Painterly is a very opaque light “nude beige” colour, and not too different from my skin tone. I’ve watched many youtube beauty gurus proclaiming this as a “holy grail” eye product. (L-R: Let’s Skate!, Rubenesque, Painterly) So far I’ve only collected three of these suckers, but I’m sure it won’t be long before I add more to my collection. Smudge proof, waterproof & superb staying power (I haven’t seen this fading from my eyes till date).A must have shade for Indian skin tones.Today I’ve got a review of one of my favourite makeup products: MAC (Pro Longwear) Paint Pots. The shade gives a natural depth & definition to eyes without making them look too vibrant. The texture is a bit harder than other paint pots but still it glides smoothly & evenly on lids. MA Paint Pot Constructivist is a gorgeous Metallic Brown with frost finish which looks Brownish-taupe on my lids. A must have fabulous shade for Indian skint ones. It suits my brown eyes very well. This is one shade which you can always reach for when you just want a hint of colour on your lids without making your eyes look dramatic. It doesn’t settle down on my lids as a bland matte brown shade but gives a nice subtle sheen with brownish-taupe reflection which makes my eyes look naturally dramatic yet not very vibrant. Although texture wise I found woodwinked better as I find constructivist a bit harder but still it glides smoothly & nicely on my lids. This works as a good base for me to create smokey eyelook.Earlier I was using Revlon Skinlights cream eyeshadow palette as a base for brown smokey eye but switched to constructivist even since it got added to my vanity. I mostly love to wear it alone blending it with a neutral eyeshadow on crease to add some depth to my eyes. I went to buy Indianwood but when swatched it looked very much similar to Woodwinked to me & hence I came out with Constructivist (Hubby said only one of the two). Like MAC describes, Constructivist is a gorgeous Metallic Brown shade with frost finish. My eye shadows last long for the entire day when applied on top of painterly. The colours come out more intense with painterly as a base. It makes an excellent primer for your eye shadows. These stay forever on my lids unless & until I remove with the help of a good makeup remover. What I love about MAC Painterly Paint Pot: It is creamy and slides on your lids easily. Multipurpose: can be used as a single eye shadow all over the lid, can be used as an eye primer or as eyeliner. They come in a thick bottomed glass tubs like MAC fluidlines & one need to dip the fingers or can be applied using a brush. Once applied these settle down on lids waterproof & smudge proof. They are highly pigmented & a single sheer swipe pays off good colour on lids.Comes in variety of finish like frost, cream, satin & pearl. MAC paint pots are a must have in your makeup stash for their creamier & light texture which blends seamlessly on eyes without making them heavy or cakey. Cream-based, can be mixed with M♺♼ shadows and liners. Creates seamless coverage without weight or caking. A highly pigmented eye colour that goes on creamy but dries to an intense, vibrant finish.
